Introduction Of Several Types Of Common Sand Belts
May 31, 2017

1. Electrostatic sand planting and gravity planting sand

Electrostatic sand Belt is the use of high-voltage electrostatic absorption principle, so that the abrasive polarization on the suction, and the direction of its own long axis embedded in the substrate surface of the adhesive layer, thus forming a neat, evenly distributed abrasive layer, as shown in Fig. 1 (a). The abrasive belt of electrostatic sand is sharpened by the sharp edge of abrasive grains, cutting is sharp, so the grinding efficiency is more than 25% higher than the general gravity sand belt. The roughness of the machined surface is uniform and good. The sand planting density of electrostatic sand is also easy to control.

2. No-joint sand belt, joint sand belt and open sand belt

No joint sand belt is a special cylinder cloth as the base material, in a special equipment after the original Bula, calendering and impregnation treatment, and then by gelatinize, sand, drying and other production. No joint sand Belt is also a belt of early products, is no longer produced.

3. Close-type sand belt and sparse planting belt

The close-type sand belt is also called closed-coated sand belt, which is characterized by the abrasive material being covered with each other, the whole surface of the substrate, and no obvious void between the abrasives. The close-close belt is mainly used in the difficult grinding process, including heavy-duty grinding and strong grinding.

The sparse-type sand belt is also called the open-type coated with the sand belt, this kind of abrasive belt grinds the grain to arrange according to the predetermined distance, thus the single abrasive grain has the obvious void, according to the use request, the abrasive grains generally should cover the substrate surface $number. The loose-planting sand belt has good performance and the space between the abrasive grains can reduce the blockage of the debris when grinding certain materials.
